Baytech has recently invested in two brand new electric molding machines. One being a 200 ton machine and the other a 250 ton machine. These machines are the next step in our technical molding.
They offer significantly reduced operating and maintenance costs over standard hydraulic injection machines by using servo motors and a ball screw vs a full time motor and a hydraulic pump on our hydraulic machines. The servo motor uses the ball screw to move the platen rather than a big hydraulic cylinder.
They are significantly quieter than hydraulic machines and offer a cleaner environment with the elimination of the hydraulic oil, its motor and pump.
The improved process control from electric machines can result in reductions in cycle and scrap, as well as more efficient energy consumption.
